Servo motor control help
PostPosted: Wed May 12, 2010 8:19 am     Reply with quote

i have two problems want to share with you.

my first problem:
i want to control the velocity of "servo motor" with pic16f877.
first, the cycle/minutes information might ask on the LCD and the information which entered with keypad might store in memory. after pushing the # button, duration of cycling might ask on the LCD and the information which entered with keypad might store again. after that, when we push the # button, the motor might cycle. meanwhile, it might write on the first row of the LCD that how many cycle the motor done. also the countdown of entered time might appear on the second row. the * button might stop the motor while it runing.
how can i do with ccs?

my second problem:
on the proteus, how i connect the pins of 5 pinned motor-servo?

i will please for your help.

You'll have to supply us with model/information about your 'servo' motor.

Most people call RC servos as 'servo motors', but the ones I work on are DC motors with optical encoders for feedback.

a 5pinned motor could also be a 4 phase 'stepper' motor.

So it is important to send us more info !

as i know, RC servo motors cycle with angle. because of this, i'll not use an RC servo motor.
i simulate with motor-servo which is in proteus library. if i can't control the servo motor, i will use the DC motor you mentioned.
