ICD debug capability error on build [solved]
PostPosted: Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:38 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

Today I updated my configuration to use the MPLAB 7 - plugin 2.0.0.10.

Suite is at the latest level.

Now I find that projects that worked last week fine give the following errors on build

Micro is the 16F506.

Any ideas what I can do to resolve this?

Many thanks.

Code:
Executing: "C:\Program files\Picc\CCSC.exe" +FB "leakage.c" #__DEBUG=true +ICD +DF +LN +T +A +M +Z +Y=9 +EA #__16F506=TRUE
*** Error 164 "C:\Program Files\PICC\devices\16F506.h" Line 2(9,18): Selected part does not have ICD debug capability
      1 Errors,  0 Warnings.
Halting build on first failure as requested.
BUILD FAILED: Tue Apr 06 11:33:38 2010

In case anyone else experiences this.

I had a response from CCS support.

In MPLAB / Project / Build Configuration set the mode to Release for this part.

This has solved my build errors.
