You mean there is a conflict between two USB devices:

1. CCS ICD-U40 (or ICD-U64).

2. Logicport Logic Analyzer

This page has analyzed the LogicPort. They say it has a FTDI FT245BM
USB chip on it:
http://www.sigrok.org/wiki/Intronix_Logicport

With this information, you can now search for articles in the CCS ICD
Programmer/Debugger Forum. You can search that forum for
these keywords:
Quote:
FT245BM

or also search for
Quote:
PID*

Then you get Treitmey's post here:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=41123#41123
If that doesn't help there are several other threads with more information.

I run the same setup. The LogicPort is programmed correctly and plays nicely with any other FTDI device. The ICD is programmed incorrectly and only looks for the first FTDI device it finds (which will never be the right one (Murphy's Law).

So I just unplug the Logic Port when I need to program or debug. It will complain after a minute or so but it will work again on reconnection (does not crash).

And as PCM recommends - always keep the ICD driver install program on your PC. You will need to install the driver often over the years.
