There's tons of code out on the web...just google 'led display PIC' or something similar.
I suggest starting out with a single display, then a double(CCS has code in the examples I think, been 8 or 9 years since I bought version2.539 !)
Think of 4 digits as 2 double digits....
It's best to learn by doing...you'll gain valuable experience that you can use forever.
