I'm using the PIC 18F8722. I understand that the board isn't intended to be a power source - but it would be convenient if I could use the 5V and ground pins from the user terminal block. I've hooked up a couple SF02 devantech I2C sonar sensors (requires 5V) to the user terminal block and it seems to work ok.
But I'm wondering if anyone else has input on how much load the board can generally handle...
Thanks!

What is the regulator used on the PCB?
What is the voltage feeding that regulator?
If you do the math for the power dissipation, you might find the board (which you didn't specify) can give you just enough power that you might need PROVIDED it's still withing the specifications of the regulator being used to provide the +5V.
