This amy require an email to CCS' sales department. I could find no documentation on this, so unless someone has one...
Interestingly enough though, they seem to want to sell you an upgrade to PCWH along with it, so its likely a PIC18 _________________ The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits... |

1) Did you contact CCS directly?
2) Given that it comes with the PCW compiler and from the pictures on the web page it looks like a PLCC44 package I will guess the PIC16F877A is the standard IC.
3) If you pick the PCWH upgrade, that may also include changing the PIC to the PIC18F452 or PIC18F4520.
#2 and #3 are just guesses. Call (262) 522-6500 x35 or email to ccs@ccsinfo.com to be 100% sure. _________________ Rob Young

At your suggestion, I did contact CCS directly.
They said, "It is a PIC16LF877A".
So now we know.
Looks like a pretty nice robot too.

The CCS Robotics kit is derived from the Portland robot that can be found at:
http://www.junun.org
The motherboard on the CCS robot has more standard features than the Portland version.
Be sure to pay particular attention to the servo modification in the instruction manual that is available at junan. |
