[OT] Short EuroCard connector
PostPosted: Fri Jun 12, 2009 12:49 am     Reply with quote

Colleagues,

Sorry, my question is not about CCS compiler or PICs. But I know that folks here have seen a lot in their travels.

Have anyone seen short EuroCard (or compatible) connectors? The shortest ones I’ve seen had 10 lines (2 or 3 rows, 20 or 30 pins). Have anyone seen connectors with 3 lines (9 pins) or 4 lines (12 pins)? What’s the smallest one you’ve seen? Do you think there are small ones out there?

Thanks,
- Nick

Shorter connectors are readily available from people like Harting.
Look for DIN41612. Harting do them down to 3 connections, but the connections on the shortest version are higher power (larger).
You can also get the longer connectors part populated', and half, and 1/3rd size versions. It depends massively on the quantity you want. They will actually make anything, if the order size if large. Given that this will be smaller than any standard 'testclip', and won't mate with any standard bus, why confine yourself to these connectors?. There are many dozens of standard 'board to board' connectors, available down to single pin versions...

Best Wishes
