How to display a series of custom characters on LCD ??

Hi,

I am using a 18F4620 and a TC2004A LCD 20X4 panel.

I am able to display a custom character on the screen (occupies 8 CGRAM locations) , but now I need to display another custom character alongside the first one.

After printing out the first character, I load the second character onto the CGRAM, but this also changes the first character...how do I stop the LCD from refreshing..??

You misunderstood the character generator operation. The CG content must be kept to display a custom character. But there are eight different usable custom characters.

So I can get 8 characters that are of 8x5 pixels ??
