Question about LCD ports

I would just like to ask a question. Can port A be used for a pic16f648A (pullup on A4) ? I am using portB for USART and XTAL.

You can use pins RA0, RA1, RA2, RA3, RA4 (with pull-up on pin A4) and
pins RA6, RA7 (with INTRC_IO fuse).

You can't use pin RA5. It's input-only. It's not an output pin.
