I was given a copy of 'C' What Happens and I have to give it a BIG thumbs DOWN .

Mistakes and omissions GLARE from its pages.

I would not give it to anyone who I wanted to become proficient with CCS.

It is beneath newbie in its quality and a lousy reference to C in general
and CCS in particular.

Just my opinion.

Benson is a good writer. It helps to have his earlier books as a reference. For example Easy Picn and Picn Up the Pace.

This is a good book - I own it. It covers CCS PIC C and has some coverage of a simulator- since a PIC is hardware and software and this book covers both I think a beginner would find it useful.
