QUESTION ABOUT USING #ASM DIRECTIVE IN PCD
PostPosted: Fri Apr 24, 2009 1:32 pm     Reply with quote

HI,

I am using CCS Compiler ver 4.084, when I started a code for convolution signals using the "MODULE" hardware resource for dsPIC30F4011 and I make some part of the program in assembly language like:
Code:

  #asm
     MAC w5*w6,A,[w8]+=2,w5,[w10]+=2,w6
     ........

  #endasm

The compiler put another mnemonic. Using MPLAB to simulate I found the problem and I have been trying some things to solve the problem but I have not gotten nothing.

With the menu key of CCS "C/Asm list" the output file puts:
Code:

    #asm

    EDAC W5*W5,A,[W8]+=2,[W10]+=2,W5

     ..........
    #endasm

Can somebody tell me about that, many thanks.

Best regards,
Fco. Jav. V.P:

The said MAC instruction is processed correctly in most recent V4.091. There is some progress with PCD though!

B.T.W.: I'm not aware of a PCD assembler syntax to add code bytes manually, that could be used as a workaround for codes unknown to the assembler or messed up by it as the said MAC instruction.
