PIC16F676 internal oscillator (?)
PostPosted: Mon Mar 30, 2009 2:14 am     Reply with quote

Could someone of you try to setup the PIC16F676 via the wizard? I cannot make it run cause looks like the internal oscillator is missing form CCS def files.. but looking at the '676 datasheet a 4MHz internal oscillator IS present; am i missing something?

Tnx.

Would help if you said what compiler version?.
Also, only ask questions once.

All you should need, is to select the INTRC fuse, or the INTRC_IO fuse. Set the clock to 4MHz. There are not the options for this oscillator that exist on many of the other chips, since it only supports the one frequency.

Sorry about the double post, truly, this time i got a network slowdown, so I hitted F5 and got double posted :(

(Compiler version is 4.084)

Ok, maybe i stopped at the wizard where there are not options to play with clock; (also, i cannot see config works inside the device.h file).

Please use the forum's search engine.
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/search.php
Search for:
Quote:
16F676 INTRC_IO

Set it to "Search for all terms". Then you get links like this,
with sample code that shows how to use the internal oscillator:
