Read MF RC531 register error

I use MF RC531 with PIC18F4550 via SPI.
When I init RC531 OK, but when read all register is not correct.
It's not same as default value (written in datasheet).
How can I check RC531 is OK or how can I conntrol it.
I use MF RC531 in bread board (not in PCB)
Ps: I'm sorry about my English.
