I want to measure pulsating dc using pic 16f877a.
Can anyone suggest a program for this ?
Thanks in advance.

What do you want to measure about the pulsating dc? The pulse width? The frequency of the pulsations? The duty-cycle?

You will probably want to synchronize your measurements with the pulses. Can you turn the pulses into a TTL signal so the PIC (which PIC do you have in mind?) can trigger on it?

Then you will want to use the A/D converter. Hopefully the voltage range of the pulsating DC is less than the Vdd of the PIC. If not, then you will have to divide it down with a resistive voltage divider. Then there is the issue of the duration of the pulses. If they are long enough, then you can just read the A/D converter over and over again, watching for a maximum value. If the duration is too short for that, then you may have to build a peak-detector circuit ahead of the A/D to capture the peak value.
