I trying to make some bidirectional serial communication between 16F877 and PC. The point of this test is to see how many data can I send and receive in some time. Let say 1 second.

I want to calculate number of packets that I received and transmitted but in real time. PC sends data I read and automatically make reply and so on.

it depends on the baud rate you select. At 115200baud (115200 bits per second) each byte requires 10 bits (8 data, 1 start bit, 1 stop bit) therefore the maximum transfer rate is 11520 bytes per second full duplex (11520 bytes per second in each direction).
