IR with PIC Controller
PostPosted: Wed Dec 17, 2008 11:34 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,
I have a remote and IR receiver (remote contains an IC named Hy8P1005S). I didn't find a datasheet of that IC.
I want to connect IR receiver with PIC16f628A.
Can anybody tell me that how I receive data in my controller? I have made a simple circuit which connects one of the IR receiver pin with MicroController and rest two of IR receiver are Vcc and Gnd.
I am seeing different waveforms on receiver side when I press different key from remote. I wanna know that how to read these waveforms or pulses in microcontroller.
Any simple program or ideas.
I think the program will be interrupt based. When it receives pulses it will perform different tasks.
