PIC30 - Using QEI and ADC in sleep mode
PostPosted: Thu Dec 04, 2008 9:53 am     Reply with quote

Ive got a project that is taking ADC readings, as well as using the quadrature encoder interface to correlate the angle that the readings were taken at to the readings themselves. Im using a PIC30F4011. I don't know if it is universal to all PICs, but on my device, the QEI doesn't run in sleep mode. Thus, running the ADC in sleep mode causes the QEI to miss pulses. I've tried using the ADC without sleep mode, and I don't get as stable of a number.

What solutions are there to getting stable readings and not miss QEI ticks?
