Need help with PIC16F877 4-digit seven segment power meter

I am trying to design digital power meter using PIC16F877 and CCS C compiler but I need somebody to guide me on how to write the program code. What I do not understand is after reading the ports how do I use the values from the adc and use them in computations and the display in 4-digits 7-segment.

Please I need someone to teach me these.

Your code is for a parallel-interface character LCD module. He wants
a 7-segment display. He didn't say whether it should be LCD or LED.

The LED type looks like the first image here:
