PostPosted: Sat Mar 23, 2013 6:24 am     Reply with quote

Hi dear, my lcd 2x16 just show dots no data. I use my lcd in 4-bit mode, lcd.c driver of ccs c. connected lcd port OK and its connected led is blinking while program is executing. LCD shows same dots with u-controller and with microcontroller.

Require some hints in this regard.

We need more information.

1) Post the SHORTEST possible version of you code.
2) Advise compiler version, LCD type.
3) Read forum guidelines.
4) Follow forum guidelines.
5) Search forum for help.
6) Double check connections.
7) Check connections again.
8) Check bias supply.

You're not the first to have LCD problems.

...won't be the last either...

we also need to know the PIC used and the pinouts...

and of course, this is a REAL situation and NOT a 'simulation...
