Problem Programming MCP25020 MCP25050 using ICD-S40

The ICD can detect the chip MCP250XX but error programming:




Any idea ???

ICD Control Program = v2.95
ICD-S40 firmware = 2.6C
PCM programmer

Does CCS say anywhere (other than in the CCSLOAD program)
that they support the MCP250XX ? It's not listed on this web page:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/devices.php?page=icddevices

Yup it is not listed...

However CCS had stated they can support MCP250xx here:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/faq.php?page=mcp250xx

This was many years ago...

CCS should have made it supported devices since CCS sells CAN Bus development kit which include ICD-U40 as the programmer...

Also --> then why MCP250XX is listed in CCSLOAD as detectable ??
It should be omitted instead !!!

You should email CCS support and ask them if they currently support it.
Tell them that one page says it's supported, but the other page doesn't
list it. Give them your version information.
