How to load custom characters to CGRAM of LCD?
PostPosted: Fri Jun 19, 2009 12:32 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

I am able to load custom characters into an LCD (uses HD44780) immediately after power up.

Now I need to load another set of characters (overwrite the existing ones). So I set the CGRAM address to 0 and load the bit patterns. But this does not work. I get garbled characters that change after every power up.

Please help.

thanks

CG : RAM

Data are lost after a power down, you'll need to re-charge them every power-up.
