CCS Bootloader and the PIC18F87J11
PostPosted: Fri Dec 07, 2007 6:22 pm     Reply with quote

I have been attempting to get the CCS bootloader to work on my PIC18F87J11 for a few days now with no luck. Sad We had this code working on the CCS development board (PIC18F8722 I think), but opted to go with the 87J11 for the final design.

I have modified the CCS code to account for the config bytes at the top of memory by adjusting this line:

Code:
//#define LOADER_END      getenv("PROGRAM_MEMORY")-1  //original
#define LOADER_END      getenv("PROGRAM_MEMORY")-9

The bootloader runs, programs memory, but when restarting the device ex_bootload will not start. I have verified that the .hex file is transfered over successfully and uncorrupted, so there must be some aspect of the 87J11 that I am not accounting for. Any suggestions are welcome.
