I'm encountering some programming problems with the ICD-U40 and the CCS demo boards. I have always to try 2 or 3 times to program the chip before it works ( I got the 'rom programming error' or 'no answer from target', ... )
I did the test with 4 different demo boards ( 1 USB and 3 Ethernet ). I can thus think that the error do not come from the PIC itself.
Note.: PCx version 4.042 on Win XP home
Note.: The downloaded programs do all include the 'NOLVP' fuse
Note.: I got the same problem with the CCS examples
Note.: The ICD is connected on a powered hub shared with the mouse and keyboard
If any of you has any idea...

I tried to place the ICD on a native USB on the PC and it seems to work this way... I don't like this but as long as it works
