ICD-U40: 3,3V Target-> target not detected; 3,6V Tagret-&
PostPosted: Tue Sep 20, 2005 4:09 am     Reply with quote

I use a PIC18LF6620 with 16MHz Resonator.

When I drive my circuit with Vdd>3,6V it runs propper with ICD-U40.

But when I reduce Vdd to 3,3V the ICD-U40 could not detect the
target chip Sad .

The Pin2 on ICD-Interface is connected to 3,3V and the MCLR is
pulled up to 3,3V with 10k.

What can I do to use the ICD-U40 with my 3,3V target Question ?

#include <18F6620.h>
#device ICD=TRUE
#device adc=8
#FUSES NOWDT //No Watch Dog Timer
#FUSES HS //High speed Osc (> 4mhz)
#FUSES DEBUG //Debug mode for use with ICD
#use delay(clock=16000000)

16MHz could be too high of a frequency to run at 3.3V. Check with a chart in the figure 26-4 on the p.309 of the datasheet.
