I have problem using the ICD-40 as programmer.
Anybody has solution??
Please help...
The code is written in Hi-Tech C. After I compiled, there is a .hex file.
I used the CCS ICD-40 and its GUI software to program it into the CHIP
and it will never work. It seemed program OK, but when the board will
never work.

Check the fuses being programmed. Things like oscillator type, power-up timer, brownout etc.
Also fuses and address 0 as related to the debugger.
Can you read back the program from the PIC. I don't mean the verify that occurs right after programming. I mean manually reading back and verifying. _________________ Rob Young
