i'm trying to debug a new board that has 16f636. icd tells me it doesn't recognice chip, id=10a1. don't know if this is valid for 16f636 & icd 1.39 just doesn't support

i can program my .hex okay, but i really need to get into debugger

help!

The 16F636 does not have a debug module. So you can't. Check out the datasheet . It says "In-Circuit Serial Programming" and not "In-Circuit Debug".[/quote]
