Problems with ICD-U40 and PIC18F6722
PostPosted: Mon May 09, 2005 6:30 am     Reply with quote

I am trying to migrate from a PIC18F6722 running at 20MHz (HS) to a PIC18F6722 running at 40MHz (10MHz H4). The hardware is identical except for the crystal and PIC.

ICD Control program is version 2.30

My ICD-U40 works fine with the 6720 chip but is very intermittent with the 6722. I have just managed to program a 6722 but pressing run causes the following error

Quote:

Could not release reset: Could not detect target chip

Test target then reports Unknown PIC18 ID 1400
To recover I have to shut down the control program.

Any Ideas?

I think I had a similar problem once, and IIRC, the chip needed to be physically powered down and powered back up after the fuse was changed.
