ICD working with 16f876 but not with 18f2431

Hello,
I'm using the ICD1 from Mirochip (+CCS Firmware) together with picc.

Whenever I change the target from an PIC 16f876 to an PIC18F2431 programming (and of course also debuging) with the icd soft does not work anymore.
The target is detected, I can read the content of the flashmemory but when I try to write anything I get an vertificaton error as everything stays unchanged...

Make sure all the Vdd, AVdd, Vss, AVss pins are connected properly.
