ICD Work for Debugging but not normal burning
PostPosted: Mon May 24, 2004 5:27 pm     Reply with quote

My ICD works incredibly well for source level debugging. I absolutely love it. But when I try to flash the PIC with a normal program with debugging turned off, it (my application) won't run. I can flash using the ICD2 and the exact same .HEX file using MPLAB and it works right.

Any clues?

Thanks,
Kory

What do you mean won't run?

Are you using PCW or the stand-alone ICD program to burn your chip?

By "won't run", I mean it doesn't execute my code, as far as I can tell. The PIC is executing something else, but not my code. Maybe its not executing anything -- I can't tell. It there is a way to tell, I'd like to know as I am new to the PIC chips.

I've tried programming both ways: from inside PCW or using ICD stand alone. Again, the same hex time programmed using the ICD2 & MAPLABS works.

Thanks,
Kory
