Cannot recover after clicking the Data EE tab while in debug

If you have the debugger enabled and the PIC is running, clicking the Data EE tab in the debug window causes an error that says 'Cannot perform command, the ICD is still executing the last command: DBG_G02' The only options presented are 'Run diagnostics' and 'OK' but neither of them stop the compiler from trying to read each EE location. The only way to stop it is to End Task in the Windows Task Manager or keep clicking the OK button hundreds of times.

Report it to CCS.
Really they need to just disable the button when the debugger is running.
