Seems we often get 'hardware' related questions, like 'erratic ADC values', that could easily be hardware and not code related.
Perhaps a 'hardware' forum would be good ? A place where ideas, tip 'n tricks could be posted ?
When I started this we did wirewrap, PCBs with resist and ferric chloride, 7400 series chips and linear PSUs.
Over the decades much of that 'hands on , bench level' knowledge hasn't been learned by the 'new kids on the block'.
just an idea.... |

The actual forum guidelines, do allow hardware questions.
The wording is:
"any discussion about Microchip's, firmware designing and electronic
components in embedded systems is considered on topic. "
The point is though that they should be 'to do' with a PIC project.
Allowing generic hardware questions, risks being swamped by people
who have nothing to do with PIC's or CCS C.
There are several (lots!) of generic electronic forums. I use a couple.
I think better to keep the 'focus' here related to PIC's and/or CCS C. |
