Interface 3v3 PIC to 1v8 device...

I have some devices there use 1v8, some pin are O.C and some are just 1v8 logic I/O.
Looking for a device to handle the level shift both way.
All device i looked at have restrictions.
Some must get VCC_A ready before VCC_B, some must be in Disable OE=L mode before applying VCC_A and/or VCC_B
Some have OE assigned to section A, and only one device i found to section B.

As my CPU/PIC use 3v3 it must be connected to section B, and my devices to section A. OE must be at the same section as my CPU, section B in my case.

More complicated than i like at the start.

Looked at TXS01xx, TXB01xx from Texas...

I need a small device, and maybe two 4-bit device, but 1 8-bit will be best.

Any simple and _small_ chip out there?

Have a look at the Toshiba TC7SP3125. I've used these successfully
to interface some 1.8v devices to a 3.3v PIC.
They are rugged, and remarkably 'friendly' in operation.
For the OC signals, I2C interface chips will handle these.
Look at the PCA9306 from Texas.
On OE, just wire the interface to be permanently enabled.
They draw tiny power when not switching.
Consider also, you could use a 1.8v PIC, then the OE would be
on the processor side of the chip if you have parts that need
3.3v.

Best Wishes
