Can driver usage
PostPosted: Mon Dec 01, 2014 6:06 am     Reply with quote

Dear all,

Is it possible to use the can driver can-18xxx8.c with the pic18f4580 since it has only xxx8?

Do someone know with a pic which has Canbus hardware built in like pic18f458 but has 18 or 24 pin. Up to now i found the mcp25050 but this is not suitable because i need to use timers, serial port for debugging and lot more.

Thanks for your help

The driver for the 4580 (can-18F4580.c) , loads can-18xxx8.h, once it has set things up correctly for this chip. Use this.

The differences for different chips, are can versus ecan support.
