MPLABX CCS-PCD Integration
PostPosted: Fri Jun 20, 2014 9:46 pm     Reply with quote

I have recently installed MPLABX in my Ubuntu 12.04.4 OS. I have purchased PCD linux version command line compiler. I could install both of them separately. Then I tried to integrate both. I tried Tools / Options / Add (in MPLABX) and gave the default path name /opt/picc but MPLABX reported error that "Could not find any tool chain"

How to make MPLABX to recognize my CCS - PCD compilor?

In the options of MPLABX, there is a location to add plugins. You must go there and add the CCS plugin using that interface (it will already be in the list if you go to the right location). Also, in past versions, I had trouble if I tried to integrate CCS into MPLABX as you described without first installing the plugin, so you may have to back out what you have already done and start fresh. I haven't tried on recent versions though, so it may now be a non issue.

Thanks for the help. This has solved my problem. I could add the CCS compiler.
