CC1100 CCS code??

Hi anyone,
I've found a lot of code for the (ex) chipcon CC1000 rf transceiver; has anyone used the CC1100? Is it similar?

If you get the driver for CC1100 or CC2500 or similar, can you please share the code?
What is the max distance can achieve with it?
