What different IC voice record ISD1700 SPI and button ?

IC voice record such as, ISD4003, ISD1700 http://www.nuvoton.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/enu/ProductAndSales/ProductLines/ConsumerLogicIC/ISD%20ChipCorder/ISD1700.pdf

It can interface with REC button and SPI. I think it so easy if use with button . MCU can send logic to ISD1700 like push button. So ,why it have SPI interface what it is the better than button interface?

Read the data sheet that you linked. It refers to a "design guide":
