Using LM339
PostPosted: Tue Feb 26, 2013 1:07 pm     Reply with quote

Hi, I am a beginner and I am using LM339 to convert an analogue signal to a digital signal. I have used input 1+ and input 1- and have successfully received the correct output. However when I used input 2+ and input 2- I am not getting any output. I have checked the pins and the input are receiving the correct values. I have used a few LM339's and I got the same results each time. Can anyone explain a fix for this? Many thanks!

You've come to a board for discussion of a particular type of C compiler made for a particular type of processor, and your question is about an analog electronic component. You really are not in the right place. Try this:

Are you saying the 229-section 2 isn't working right( before the PIC) or that your program isn't working as expected?

Without seeing your program it's nearly impoosible to diagnose though
some issues could be...
1) incorrect pullup for the 339 output
2) internal peripheral not disabled for that pin to be a digitle input
3) pin can only be a digital output
4) misuse of set_tris..... directive
5) wiring not correct

Hello, thanks for the reply. I am sorry for posting in the wrong forum and thanks for the link. Actually however it was a "rookie" error that was the problem, I have not programmed the port that I connected the lm339 output as an input port. Thanks!
