Variables appear in "Reserved Memory"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 19, 2012 11:05 am     Reply with quote

Variables defined in both global, or within a function, in debug, instead of there appears "Reserved Memory":
ICD 3, MPLAB IDE v8.87, PIC24FV32KA304, compiler CCS_PCH v4.113, Windows7

Code:
#include <24FV32KA304.h>
#fuses NOWDT,NODEBUG,FRC,  NOWRT, NOPROTECT
#fuses FRC_PLL
#fuses NOPR
#fuses  4L=0x3A82
#use delay(clock=30000000)

#define LED_CYCLE 0x10
unsigned char    cLedCycle=LED_CYCLE,
         cLedDeamStep=0;
#define DIMMER_STEPS 0x0E
unsigned char   cDimmer[DIMMER_STEPS];

in Watch window:
cLedDeamStep address and value appears,
while for the variables
cDimmer, and cLedCycle
No address is shown, and instead their value, appears the message "Reserved Memory"

Any idea how some variables are OK, and another near by, or within a function are not (as described above)?
Thank you, and please let me know if I missed any information.
