PIC24F16KA101 EEPROM Write

I'm having an issue with PIC24F16KA101, built in function not working for EEProm write or read, they are not even doing the required unlock sequence with moving 0x55 and 0xAA to NVMKEY after examining the disassembly.

Does anyone have some working code for writing to the EEPROM in this part ?
