That microchip.com has let its domain name registration lapse
as of may 23rd ??
And that now the cheese-dick registrar
and erstwhile scam-o-later register.com
is redirecting to ads but not the corporate site?
Only old pages I had in recent cache can be seen
and as of this moment even google redirects you to the
their ultra lame registrar. |

You apparently are the victim of a poison cache or possibly a virus. The
URL is working fine for me...both directly and via Google _________________ Google and Forum Search are some of your best tools!!!! |

I doubt if it was MicroChip's problem.
It is quite common for major sites to have hiccups like this when their domain comes for renewal. Have seen half a dozen in the last couple of years, where people have paid in advance, yet the automatic system at the domain registration still 'drops' the domain, then reconnects it a few hours later.
Some seem to have an 'automatic' drop, that occurs at usually a time like 1AM, when the domain is due for renewal, while the reconnection, only occurs at the start of business.
A company I was involved with successfully sued the domain registrar involved when this happened...
