[OT] - Is anyone here using the VNC2 yet?

This is more than likely a shot in the dark, but...

I'm looking at replacing the VNC1L in one of my designs with the newer, much less expensive and somewhat more configurable VNC2. Anyone else been down this road yet? I'm particularly interested in any changes you had to make on the PIC side to get it to talk to the VNC2 when using a firmware load equivalent to one of the VNC1L versions.
