PIC 18f87j50
PostPosted: Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:01 am     Reply with quote

I am using MPLAB v8.63 to program my PIC microcontroller 18f87j50. I am trying to execute a simple "hello world" program. Its showing program build succeeded but when I run the program I am not finding the output in output window. Can anyone please suggest me where to see the output and what are the settings I need to do prior to execution. Thanks in advance. Smile

It could be anything....
Bit like saying "my car won't work". Could range from flat battery, through 'no fuel', onto much more major problems.

Start simpler.
Just do a 'toggle one pin' test program.
Then test if the pin toggles.
If it does, move on, and check the timing of the toggling.
Only once you have a pin toggling at the expected speed, go on to trying serial.
If it doesn't toggle, you are looking at fundamental things, connections, power etc..

Best Wishes
