RIErr0040 Error with REAL ICE PIC16F724 AC2440026

Hello all,

I am trying to use the REAL ICE with the AC2440026 ICE Target Board.
The code is written for the PIC16F724.

Everytime I try to start to debug the code I get the following error message:
Quote:
RIErr0040: The target device is not ready for debugging.
Please check your configuration bit settings and program
the device before proceeding.

Stepping target failed


I have read through all of the Data Sheets, forums etc. from microchip but can't seem to figure it out. Once again Microchip falls painfully short on their support. Sad

Here is hoping someone from the CCS community can come to my rescue. Wink

Any help would be appriciated.
