How to read data from a dual axis accelerometer sensor ?

I want to build balancing robot. So I have to read data from a dual axis accelerometer sensor such as MEMSIC 2125 http://www.parallax.com/Portals/0/Downloads/docs/prod/sens/28017-Memsic2Axis-v2.0.pdf but I don't know how to read that. Can you tell me how to read tilt from MEMSIC 2125 ?

Their documentation shows sample PicBasic code which uses the Pulsin
command. The Pulsin function has been ported to CCS. See this link:
