zero crossing control thyristor

Hello everybody, I'm new here and i need help, please. I'm trying to do a rectifier control system for resistor with 2 thyristor 2diode
My problem is i need generate a control signal from PIC to indicate thyristor when open and close, but PIC 16f877 doesn't it. How i indicate zero crossing ?

Look up Microchip application note AN521.
