SD card example question

I'm trying to test the SD/FAT example on a PICDEM.net 2 board and a SD PICTail. This code example was built around the processor family that is on the PICDEM.net 2 board. I cannot get the example code to read the SD card.

I have modified the example code to match the SPI line definitions on the DEM board and PICTail.

Has anyone had any luck with this example?
