SD card never reads or Writes in Embedded Ethernet KIT
PostPosted: Wed Jun 16, 2010 9:32 am     Reply with quote

Hi all ,
I'm still having problems trying to read or write a SD card with the CCS Embedded Ethernet.
After all the tests I concluded that something must be broken.
The SD card doesn't FIT the MMC Card Holder in the CCS Embedded Ethernet. The holder was broken after so many trys. It was crap, made of plastic. After so many trys, I strongly believe that the problem is not the SD card itself or the CCS compiler, but the pins of the MMC card Holder.

The card itself has the resistors and the 3.3V need voltage for SD card. I will try to make a hard connect by myself.
Put the pins in a Protoboard, buy some resistors and try to probe the SO, SI, CK and SL with a scope.
It's difficult but it's not impossible to read or write a SD card.
