Problem with .crg files and Registration |

Hi,
When I try building a .c file in MPLAB the CCS compiler box pops up but then I get a registration error as it thinks the .crg files are corrupted. I have looked in the folder in program files and both the pcb.crg and pcm.crg file are in there.
I have tried the contact CCS for another .crg file but there is no email box to enter my email in!
Thanks

Send a regular email to CCS support. Give them the user's name the
compiler was registered under, the compiler type (PCW, PCWH, etc.),
compiler version, and your Customer Reference number. Ask them for
a current .CRG file for your compiler. They should email it to you within
24 hours.
You must legally own the compiler for them to do this. |

Hi. Thanks for that.
I believe I own a copy of it. It came as an added extra to my MPLAB install. It was on the CD. Is that a legal copy?
Thanks |

I assume so. I don't know about all the bundled deals that CCS has
made with Microchip. If this CD is part of some development board
product that you bought, then tell CCS support about that too, so they
will know what to do. |
