Free PCB's.....
PostPosted: Mon Mar 29, 2010 8:16 pm     Reply with quote

Hi All,

I recently designed a 'serial-to-analog' circuit based on a MAX232, a PIC 16F628A, a MAX517 D/A, and a AD527 op-amp. This design is intended to receive serial commands, and then output an analog voltage ranging from 0 to 10V. The PCB manufacturer made an error and supplied me with 30 bare boards when I only ordered 5. I'm going to keep a few spares, but I'll never use the balance, so I thought I'd offer them here first before tossing them in the trash. Even if you don't need the functionality of this board, it might be a good start for a prototype or other project?

In addition to the parts locations already mentioned, the boards have footprints for connectors, a voltage regulator, a voltage reference, two pots, a status LED, and numerous discrete components. These boards are unpopulated, but all the components are readily available from Digikey and Mouser.

If you send me a PM with your address, I will send boards to anyone in the USA that wants one, free of charge. I'd rather not send these boards overseas, but if you really want one, send me a PM also, and we can try to work something out.

I'll provide a link to the schematic, parts list, and code with each board.
