How to resolve problems pointer to pointer like dj->fs-&a
PostPosted: Fri Nov 06, 2009 8:07 am     Reply with quote

Dear Sir,
I am trying to convert the elm FATFS code for FAT16/32 to CCS.
http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.html.

I got an error when compile statments like
Code:
dj->fs->n_rootdir

and
Code:
FATFS**

I received the following error codes:
Quote:

Internal Error - Contact CCS
Access violation at address 03D131F8 in module 'PCH.dll'. Read of address 0B1499B4

Could you help me to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jamil Barbar

You should contact customer support at CCS if you get "Internal Error - Contact CCS ." They don't always read this BBS.

As a 'bodge' though, I'd remove the double indirection.
Declare a local pointer to the last type, and copy the first pointer into it, then use this. Advanced constructs like this, do give problems, I think because the compiler bases it's arithmetic on pointer size, on the variable used, and when accessing a pointer to a pointer, loses track of this value.

Best Wishes
